Veterans Affairs Life Insurance (VALife)

Guaranteed-acceptance whole-life insurance up to $40,000 for veterans with a service-connected disability rating, including 0%. Premiums and a waiting period apply.

Who may qualify

Most applicants must be age 80 or younger, with no application deadline after a VA rating. At age 81 or older, you must have applied for disability compensation before 81, received a rating for that same disability after 81, and apply for VALife within two years of notification. Full coverage begins after a two-year waiting period while premiums are paid. Confirm current premiums and policy rules with VA.
